Yeah you are spot on. Nufarm formulate a lot of their product in Australia, but all the tech comes out of China for that process. This is why their bottom line has struggled a bit over the past couple of years trying to compete with generic product straight out of China. On top of that I’m pretty sure the Chinese government sell the raw product at a huge mark up to try and keep as much formulation as possible in house, which belts companies like Nufarm unfortunately.
And no there are no active ingredients sitting around in Nufarm (or anyone else’s) warehouses. If it keeps raining in QLD and NSW there could be some major chemical shortages.
