Only guessing, but there was something similar with IDL a few months ago. A large number of buyers for a large number of shares appeared at a particular price which was just below the trading range at the time.
Another poster said that it had been recommended by the Rivkin letter at the price and although the price did fall some days afterwards, the bulk of the buy orders didn't budge.
Might be a heap of new rowers?
