Thanks again everyone. In the end I did decide to close out because I was spending far too much time each day watching the price and was even losing sleep. Now I at least can take my mind off it and get back to life. While the loss itself was quite significant, thankfully I didn't (and would never) allocate much of a fraction of my portfolio for such a risky trade. Over 90 percent of my money is in LICs or cash.

I'll remember to be not so greedy and foolish in the future, it's too easy to think about potential gains, but to not have a loss plan is dangerous.
