Open cut or underground mine?
Neither IMO!!
Pecs is an extention of the Mecsek roll-front sandstone orebody which was mined between 1956 - 1996 & closed due to low U price & outdated mining techniques!
Mecsek was developed as an open cut & underground mine in the early '50's, this was before the advent of ISL in the mid '60's.
Being Roll front sandstone, Pecs is highly suitable to ISL mining, but of course we will need the scoping study to make the final determination.
From my research, I am pretty sure that we will see Pecs becoming an ISL project, as are most other comparitive projects in the Eastern Europen region. A number of these located in the Czech Republic, Russia, and Kazakhstan, all feature economical ISL deposits mined up to 900m deep.
The beauty about WHE is that they are not a "one trick pony" .... or in this case a 'one project' company.
They also have:
*USA = Sweetwater, Bison,
*Hungary = (besides Pecs) Dinnyerberki, Bátászék, and Mariakemend - a potential "ball buster"
*Paraguay = unknown
*Poland = unknown
*Coal Ash = unknown
Awesome potential left in this one still
cheers
