Aquarius Platinum produces 77,243 PGM ozs June qtr 09:08, Wednesday, 30 July 2003
Sydney - Wednesday - July 30: (RWE) - Aquarius Platinum Ltd today announced attributable production of 77,243 Platinum Group Metal ounces in the June quarter, up by 3755 ounces from the previous quarter. The production comprised 47,641 ozs of platinum, 22,108 ozs palladium, 6325 ozs rhodium and 1169 ozs gold. Kroondal production increased 1 per cent to 49,936 PGM ozs. Geological conditions continued to affect production, requiring more extensive redevelopment and hampering infrastructure extensions. Marikana contributed production of 14,740 PGM ozs and Mimosa produced 12,567 ozs attributable to Aquarius. Shares in Aquarius Platinum yesterday fell 1c to $6.87.
