You're right though, with currency debasement now the express aim of all central banks, gold is indeed a good place to be. There are a range of very clever people who have been increasing their calls on both physical and equity ownership: Stan Druckenmiller, Paul Singer, Kyle Bass, to name but a few. The latest letter from Bill Gross (the 'Bond King') is also very informative (see https://www.janus.com/insights/bill-gross-investment-outlook). He takes a very dim view, as we all should, of negative interest rates and the fact that there is now more than $11 trillion in negative-yielding debt globally.

The sad reality is that the genuine lunatics are the ones running the asylum.
