4 Corners - Nuclear Gamble - Went to air yesterday.

I felt the show was weighted towards airtime for ppl apposing or negative about nuclear.

No mention of the billions spent on renewables in Germany and now there is talk of them returning nuclear to their energy mix

No mention of France just 3 years ago, going to get rid of nuclear, has now done a 180.

No mention of China and Russia gungho nuclear

No mention of Japan announcing it was restarting its nuclear fleet

No mention of the 23 countries signing some agreement to increase or become nuclear.

No mention of all the countries now bringing nuclear into what they are saying they need.

No mention of Microsoft signing to buy all the electricity that the reactor at 3 Mile Island can produce iver the next 20 years.

No mention of the CEO of Nvidia saying there is no way there will be enough electricity for future imminent demand without Nuclear. One reason being the needs of AI and dats.

No mention of the Chinese model of building the same reactor design in different locations rather than custom builds every time, enabling costs to be contained.

Others can add to this list. Watch the show.

The interviewer was a bit soft on the CSIRO guy.

One glaring oversight or maybe deliberately not included.

The talk about nuclear taking too long and cost too much to be ready in time for net zero

No one really gave an option for how net zero was going to happen with no base power source.

The show also didnt point out the billions of government money globally that has been poured into renewables.
The interviewer could have mentioned that when one of the anti nuclear women was saying nuclear was just a cash grab for govt money.

I’ve read Turnbull is very heavily invested in renewables and that his interests lease land for where wind and solar are located.
He should have been asked what he is invested in. Likewise the Holmesacourt guy.

Its a trust thing. I found myself not trusting their words.
Asking anyone  about their  nuclear views, matters greatly if they make money from the competition. IMHO.

Although there were some pro nuclear people interviewed, by the end of the show, I was reminded of why I gave up on that show some time ago.

Watch it and make up your own mind.
