Never watch the television, especially publicly funded stations like the ABC. You can pick the people who are fixated on mainstream tv from a mile away. I first woke up when the abc crews were heard cheering in the background when K Rudd won. They proved their lack of neutrality there and then. I then got turned off permanently with their propaganda tactics during covid - saying people protesting were right wing extremists. Those families and Australians protesting for basic human rights, to keep their job, not be locked down, not be forced to take an experimental vaccine. It was shocking and I know a lot of people who turned off the tv for good after covid. Those ‘fact checkers’ are just paid 3rd party entities. Funnily enough a lot of the main stations are losing money and getting propped up by tax payers now to stay afloat. Channel 10 was a good example a couple of months ago.

I now get my newsflow from places like X and Telegram. Mostly ‘on the ground’ sources and you get information from the exact moment it happens. It is not perfect and nothing will be in relation to journalism but at least you rarely get censorship or a specific political bias. You can read or watch both sides and come to your own conclusions. That’s how it should be. On the tv or radio you get the one narrative rammed down your throat constantly.
