Although I am satisfied that none of ICN's leases are in areas that are raising concern, it would be comforting to have management come out with a release to state what our actual position is. Have been told previously that Lydia won't threaten any water tables or agricultural land and the main two, 218 and 855, certainly wouldn't. Agree that the Hunter Valley ones in NSW will have a fight on their hands, they have just beaten the mighty coal industry, as will those so near to medium density residential areas. Ironic to see that the Chairman of Macquarie Bank will be one of the protesters with his winery under threat!! That should carry some weight.
But, apart from one vegetable farm the only "prime agricultural land" that they kept talking about was covered in rampant weeds and the noxious weed Salvation Jane.
But, yes, they could paint all csg with the same brush, when, really, it will possibly only be affecting specific areas and won't be a threat to the whole industry as Four Corners, in its usual way, tries to make out.
But, yes RJ, come out with something, even a newsletter to shareholders to ally our fears.
