I saw the whole programme and it was very disturbing and compelling indeed. The UN's report is of "credible allegations".

The Sri Lankan Government is of course denying all. The UN Security Council will probably have to refer it to the International Criminal Court before those responsible can be brought to account.

In the meantime it is inherently unlikely that our Government could reasonably take action.

And in any event I agree they would not want to throw the baby out with the bathwater.
