Just watched 4 Corners, about Sri Lanken attrocities against civilians and Tamil Tigers, 2008/9.
"Scores of thousands" killed, raped, abused, seemingly with approval from the top down, others targeted/bombed in makeshift hospitals in "safe zones", using GPS coordinates given to the Sri Lanken military by those assisting the wounded and elderly, (thinking this would protect these areas).
The UN were initially warned to get out for their own safety, ensuring the SL military had no official witnesses to what they were about to do.
But a lot of evidence against this regime was documented by mobile phone cameras by their own cruel soldiers, as trophies.
Banky Moon ??, at the end of the massacre visited the refugee camp, but offered no help to anguishing, starving people within, .... some were putting leis around his neck as if he was visiting Hawai, what a load of s..., considering what those people had gone through and were still going through.
The Sri Lanken Govt/Military murdered the two Tamil leaders that surrendered with a white flag prior to the ensuing massacres where the people were driven to the East Coast of Sri Lanka(Ceylon).
How many more times will the UN allow innocent civilians to be slaughtered by ruthless, murderous dictators ?
How many more times will the UN just walk/drive out and leave the vulnerable people who have been protected by them prescence ?
The sooner this SRI LANKEN GOVT., get taken to the Hague, the better, and our own Govt. should do something about via the SRI LANKEN EMBASSY.
