If you have a problem with Hicks being freed in 9 months, you have only two people to blame pal......and they are your friends Howard and Bush.
Just see if you hear them come out and express their disgust at the leniency of the sentence. If the crime is as serious as they would have you believe, then why haven't they sentenced him to a longer jail term???
Don't forget that this saga began with the refusal of Howard to try to get an Australian citizen a fair trial, all because the polls supported him at the time.
As soon as the tide of public opinion began to turn, Howard turned with it.
Hicks is no hero in my book, but the behaviour of Howard and Bush has a terrible stench about it.
If I was you, I would be writing to Howard asking him why he hasn't spoken out against the sentence handed down to Hicks. I wonder why that would be????......lol.
