I wonder what percentage are on the brink of losing any deposit they may have saved.
They may still be in positive equity, but after paying stamp duty and taking into account the falling market, it might not be long before huge numbers of people realise their hard earned savings have gone and instead they now owe money if they were forced to sell.
Many could thank the government for getting them into this position with the first home vendors grant.
