Chances are there are some buyers of GYX or ORE who don't realise the merger is even happening, or how the merger is being implemented but most likely is that they can't be arsed working out the difference of few cents when it might change the next second.
Also for most it is very hard to track minute diversions of prices on retail platforms. ie No retail platforms I know have the ability to enter an order where you can stipulate a complex buy order ie if below 0.569 ratio X or buy Y if the ratio is above 0.569.
So if one is buying $1,000 or $100,000 parcel one needs to take a stand
