He may be eccentric but his behaviours are that of an investor.
Not sure the level of research he conducts but there is no doubting his commitment to the businesses he owns - otherwise why buy the business in the first place?
I think more can learn from him not the other way around. He may get drawdowns that last for six months to a year or maybe more, but as far as I can see he buys and accumulates growth business that have massive swings in both directions and has the fortitude to ride through the wild swings. A trait many don't have.
