I cant comment on the mediation process, but i can comment on the release of results.

If a client requests the results be withheld, the results will be withheld through numerous routes. Typically upon completion and QA /QC of results they would be released to the client. That said, results can be "out of expected values", require "futher QA/QC" or can simply be"repeated for validation". Thus are able to ge withheld from release to the client without raising any internal flags, but normally they would be forced out at the end of a month/quarter so they can be billed. Typically the works cannot be billed until such time as results are released, but a simple call can push the billing forward, enabling the company to hold release of results until such time as they are asked to release. This is all perfectly legal for the labs, and wouldn't raise any eye brows beyond the billing cycle issue.

Given the time frame we have seen, and the size of the cores we can safely assume that the results have been completed but are being withheld. The idea as to why is pretty evident in all our minds, pointing the finger directly at the 80/20 position.

While we are all becoming increasingly frustrated with this delay ib results, there really isn't much that we can do... It is appearing to be a legal issue, and this can take a long time to resolve... I don't expect to see any results until the matter is resolved, aa annoying as it is.
