This is market manipulation. On the NZX yesterday there was a bid for 60,000 shares that stayed in the buyers depth moving up and down as the price fluctuated but always sitting 2 to 3 cents below the highest bid. This is creating a false picture of buyer demand, whoever is behind the bid never had the intention of having their order filled. This is a deliberate attempt to interfere with the free and fair operation of the market. I have alerted my brokers to it who have emailed the NZX, we will see what comes of it.
