Actually I think the only thing RED have mainly stuffed is their hedge book, maybe they should have had more foresight or maybe they had no choice, either way not good especially where the POG is at the moment.
With regards to SLR management, they have all that cash, they made a bid for SBM to no avail and that depressed the share price for months, they have done the same thing now with RED, RED's share price has appreciated meanwhile SLR's share price is at the low end of where it should/could be, so it seems to be a very unfair bid for SLR shareholders.
I'm in 2 minds, I don't really know what synergies there will be, they will be keeping both BOD, why that is, is beyond me, it just seems like an old boys club and not giving a crap about the retail shareholders.
It's just my opinion I could be way of the mark.
