Across the board, many of Australia's leading companies are down substantially from Jan'24 highs. WIth stubbornly high inflation, interest rates remain attractive to lenders but a bed of nails for debtors, and the A$ is too high for our export industries.
The over all market health cannot but affect the gold sector eventually. Golds are mostly down because of currency movements it seems, but there a lot an expectation in many SP's, and companies that disappoint will see their SP savaged.
Kamala Harris has drawn ahead in the polls ... whatever .... the dam may not crack till after November, but the cracks grow ever wider.
RED will not rerate until it comes out with unequivocal better news ... till then the SP will drift and remain in a technical downtrend IMHO.
PS - a quick glance at the WDS chart will explain why (its rumoured) WDS is thinking of a move to the IOUSA, a truly fracked up country.
