As one can see, todays was a reversal day for RED and other golds - 43,852,134 volume / 3120 trades - for every seller there is a buyer.
The big RED action was first 30 minutes. Where this settles this week will largely depend on general market sentiment (not good) and the POG.
Note the volume in GMD just before their announcement of its elevation into the ASX200. Its SP is also down today.
RMS had a more sedate volume surge pre ASX200 announcement.
RED was included in some Asian index, but I don't yet have the details.
Large buying in RED can't merely be about "index balancing" .... there's a belief that "something is going on" .... watch this space.
Needless to say, the next quarterly will be of keen interest .... as I said recently, remember, nothing goes up in a straight line in the stock market.
