Yes you can do that also scoutmaster, in fact you can set up an account at Computershare where it will tell you all the shares that are held by them in your (exact) name on their registry, I only wish all my shares were held in Computershare registries, it would make life very simple.

I say "exact" because if you held shares before CHESS, and you had bought some shares in a company and the broker put
John J Blogs instead of John Blogs and you joined the Computershare account under
John Blogs, it may not recognise the ones in John J Blogs? they get pedantic about exact names, same as wills or any other legal document really I suppose.

Although having some shares with just one initial different does have it's advantages sometimes if there is an SPP for instance, you may get to have two allocations mailed to you?
