Tanner pointed out that Whitlam was his hero on Q&A only just this week.
I think (happy to be corrected) he pointed out that while spending increased under Whitlam so did the revenues via taxe increases to compensate!
And suddenly it all made sense ... he brings the same philosophy to his own party.
Sooo much to look forward to.
