just for clarity, I've reread all pertaining documents and whilst there is mention of a second tranche, there are no details of how it plays out
so you guys are guessing just as much as me
however, the American arm was sold with the permission, and on behalf of the owners (us, the shareholders)
so the cash return must go to the owners at the time of the sale
so the effective date for both tranches is the same (7/9/23... roughly, I think)
the $1 drop was reflective of the loss of the American arm, it is an asset gone, and realistically it should of dropped $1.40
however, when the second tranche is released, it should have no bearing on the share price, unless maybe to raise it, as the company will have more money in the bank
to clear this up I've asked PBH for clarity
