QC Technician - Production

Ventracor Ventracor is an international medical device company, headquartered in Sydney and operating in Asia, USA and Europe, that manufactures the VentrAssist™ Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD), an implantable blood pump designed as long term therapy for people in end stage heart failure.

Due to ongoing success and growth, a vacancy has arisen for an experienced QC Technician, to join the company within the Production division. In this role you will be required to carry out a variety of quality control inspections within a friendly and objective driven team, reporting to the Production Manager.

Essential Skills and Experience Required:


At least four years QA/QC inspection experience in a technical, medical or science related area;
Proven experience in microscopic inspection and be very familiar with the use of microscopes (this is a large portion of the job and potential applicants should be extremely competent in this area);
Previous experience working within a clean room environment;
Familiarity with the use of measurement equipment;
Proven knowledge with quality systems including documentation auditing and test methods working to ISO13485 and FDA requirements;
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and Strong interpersonal skills;
Be able to read and interpret the technical documentation including drawings and the ability to write technical reports as required;
Strong computer skills;
Accurate, methodical and attention to detail;
Initiative and the ability to work unsupervised.


Preferable:
Experience with Mitutoyo Coordinate Measuring Machines;
Advanced certificate or equivalent in an engineering or science based course;
Knowledge and use of Microsoft Office.
