Gold at Peak Hill is located in the Narracoota rock formation, which ranges between 40-60 metre below the surface. The Narracoota type of rock may be about 10 metres in depth. GPN have found this rock formation over a 40km distance. See GPN report - December 7, 2006.
Being so close to the surface places the company in good stead to mine the area if the grades are good. Any grade over 2.5 g/t at this depth should be good enough to mine, as long as the mine is in the near vicinity.
Wait for the gold results (within two weeks) and where they find this rock formation they usually find gold.
This should give GPN the go ahead to in-fill drill the 40 km to obtain a JORC gold resource. It wouldn't surprise me either if they located copper.
40km's is huge, I'm in for the gold and YRR is just a bonus. My call is GPN - 10 cents by April.
