Adding air burst capability to the MLGLS sounds like what the USMC is looking for.

From M203 with a modified MLGLS; the next step would be the 3GL!

Considering;

This is an interesting comment from a reader at kitup.military.com

"No doubt the USMC would be able to source, integrate, prove and deploy this system on their existing M203s and M32s for a fraction of the cost - and in less than half the time - it takes the Army to prove and deploy the XM25."
