BRITISH COLUMBIA – Today’s almost unbelievable bonanza gold grade – 41,582 g/t or 1,212.8 oz per ton – comes from the Brucejack project drilled in the Valley of the Kings, near Stewart. The extremely high grade intersection was 0.5-metre long. Two other half-metre-long sections returned 4,902 g/t and 2,251 g/t.

Vancouver’s Pretium Resources, owner of the project, said the three intersects were part of a three-metre section that averaged 8,330 g/t Au and 5,628 g/t Ag. The company has received the underground exploration permit for the Brucejack program, and will begin that work by slashing the existing West zone workings to 5 x 5 metre down to the 1330 level, a distance of about 500 metres. Following completion of that phase, the company will then advance the decline to the 1314 level in the Valley of the Kings, approximately 450 metres away. A bulk sample will be taken in the first half of 2013.

Visit Pretivm.com, where the company plans to post a cross-section through the Valley of the Kings.
