Yeah I understood their statement. Just wondering why they would say that in the first place. I guess one issue could be KOTHs underground reserve grade at 2.3 g/t. That's not a great grade for an open stoping underground operation. DCN recently shut down their underground operations at Westralia due to the profitability of the operation not being robust enough. They were mining at around 2.4g/t for 1 mtpa. A similar operation to KOTH's. DCNs now trying to re-configure a new reserve where they can mine the higher grade parts of it.
I guess with higher gold prices it might not matter anymore.
