Mainholm is right. Publishing a graph, as ADV have done, looks great. But they have conveniently omitted to point out a huge underlying assumption - by putting all the miners and hopefuls side-by-side, there is an implicit assumption that the quality of the data in every case is equal. As Mainholm has pointed out, this just ain't so.

On top of that comes the real world of graphite mining, where some of these tiny deposits must be considered as a unit, because that's all there is. To equate those to a very large deposit, such as SYR's Balama, blissfully ignores reality. SYR has a wide range of flake size material, and has so much high-grade ore, in well-defined areas of the orebody, that they will not need to consider mining anything less than 18-20% graphite for many, many years. Talking about a "global resource grade" in that context makes no sense at all.

So the whole argument falls over. Pretty graph, but not worth much. Anybody who relies on that sort of superficial information as a basis of their investment decisions has got problems ahead.

    Cheers,
