However in this weeks big '42m @ 44g/t' announcement they clearly stated what the geometry is as mentioned in a previous post, so your point is not valid.

With all due respect, true width reporting of drill results (pick your method, ac, rab, rc, dd list goes on) is something companies should be doing (under JORC) to ensure they are completely transparent in their reporting. They have enough drill holes to determine the geometry of the mineralisation in this area, so don't need structural information from diamond core.

Jman0076 has also made the comment about this intersection not being true width.

Given this was the actual headline of the announcement, there is significant potential that people believe this to mean the ore zone is 42m wide @ 44 g/t. However this is very unlikely given the geometry of the zone and angle of drilling.
