... And so the Olympics begin. We think back to the happenings of some 3 years ago when an unlikely small cap makes a market announcement that the Chinese were to employ their tracking technology for the Olympic games [http://www.theage.com.au/news/business/relisted-quiktrak-on-song/2005/11/03/1130823342413.html].
Much speculation ensued and the price went sky-rocketing on the belief that they had truly secured a one in a $360 million dollar deal. Then, things started to appear very dubious. The CEO was charged with fraud. The tight-lipped directors who were short on shareholder updates jumped at the chance promote their wares to a select reporter from 'The Age' (who also happened to be a shareholder) [http://www.theage.com.au/news/business/quiktrak-in-second-china-security-deal/2005/12/18/1134840741698.html]. Dubious posters started appearing on chat sites making wild and unsubstantiated "wait and see" claims [http://www.pacificepoch.com/forum/threads/50812_0_16_0_C/].

A long three years later and the speculation still continues. There has been no announcement to the market regarding the status of the notorious Chinese deal. Instead, the scene now diverts attention to a new deal, a new set of affliates and a new set of posters making wild and unsubstantiated claims.

When will the story of Quiktrak end? Depends on what speculation 43k can buy.

    The time draws nearer...
