We can't even provide a simple network for our mining areas which have been earning heaps of foreign money despite the short comings of port and rail services.
If anything we are supporting private industries' efforts to put more freight on our roads in b doubles and b triples whilst in some cases allowing the same industries to run our remaining rail lines (they've got it down to two trains a day in Tasmania,I hear).
