MATRIX/BASIN OIL & GAS HITS BIG WELL - Matrix/ Basin Oil & Gas Corporation reports that the Denny Padgett #1, Permit #10489 came in flowing oil at a rate of 480 barrels of oil a day (BOD) in early January and is now is now flowing at a rate of 360 BOD. The well in the Alpine Quad in Overton County was drilled to a depth of 1315 feet when oil began flowing from the Stones River Formation. The well was drilled to a total depth of 1350 feet, but the amount of oil flowing from the well forced drilling operations to stop.
