then P&G would save theirs PLUS get all the royalities from the other companies using OBJ tech.
Well you see this is where you run into problems. Other companies would be competitors. If P&G were to buy out OBJ I can't see them selling the technology to their competitors, could you? So no I think you are wrong, P&G would want it all for themselves. That means no royalty streams from other organisations. And it comes back to why pay a large up front sum when you can pay over many years from money already made. The royalty stream that would go to OBJ is only a small fraction of the revenue P&G earn. But big dollars for OBJ. It's not really in their interest to takeover these types of companies and it has nothing to do with their dreams being different to OBJ shareholders. Simply P&G wouldn't have invested this much money and time in OBJ technology if they didn't believe the dream.
