    My long experience is that the swan dive in ELD typically ends in oblivion.

    Often there is a short bounce just before death.

    I'm not talking it down, I have never owned ELD shares, but I am very sorry to see it go, because it is something of an Australian icon from way back. Right up there with the old companies like Westpac, AAC (our oldest company), AGL, and a few others.

    Prior to the Elliott days it was an extremely respected company in the bush, much the same as the CBC bank (now NAB). If it does go, the board will no doubt blame drought, or some other red herring.
