BAU's resources are scattered in numerous smaller areas, the bauxite will need to be transported either to a port or a refinery and while "proximity to rail and roads" has been often mentioned in releases, BAU's history with regard to road transport and locals opposition is well known (the Bindoon debacle).

The market is waiting on certainty that the individual resources are viable and that it will happen. Aluminum/bauxite is out of favour at the moment and undeveloped resources scattered around just wont cut it.

BAU need to prove up other minerals (they have enormous lease areas) or convince the market that they get get the bauxite to an end user and make a profit, until then they need to use their funds wisely and a capital raising would decimate their share price/credibility.

Just my thoughts anyway
