However, if they aren't able to articulate a specific use for the funds, it could send the wrong message; something along the following lines:"We are so shocked that the share price has appreciated so much in such a short time we are going to tap the market for some extra cash before the share price falls backwards again."

If they don't have a deal to announce that requires the funds, why make the statement in the quarterly that they have sufficient funds to sustain the business on present cashflows for the foreseeable future. What changed?

So the optimist in me says they have something more to announce. I hope the optimist is right.

I was sort of hoping that the fundraising was going to be Audi buying a 15% stake in the company. Seems from the post that started this thread that stateone have tapped the sophisticated investor group for money on the back of the price rise.
