Car manufacturer Mazda has committed to a 107,000sq m industrial lease with ASX-listed logistics services provider Qube for its new $25 million NSW distribution centre.
The lease will provide 74,000 square metres of land under hailnet and 4000 square metres with a roof to house 3200 cars at the property on Culverston Road in Minto, in Sydney's south west.
"The estate at Minto offers Mazda a strategic location with superior access to motorway connections including the M5, M7 and Hume Highway. Qube has invested in this site to meet requirements of the car import, storage and distribution market," Qube director, infrastructure and property, Greg Pauline said.
The lease caps off Qube's now fully tenanted 30-hectare industrial site in Minto. Mazda will join other tenants such as Ceva Logistics, Dial a Tow and Prix Car.
