@wenty this is just my opinion but I suspect the spend was up simply because JB wanted the diamond rig in sooner rather than later and most likely had to stump cash up front.
I posted here at the time that the weather in DRC is about to go pear shaped any time so I think it was an important decision. Of course the reason for this is that they were months late with the RC programme.
I suspect that a fair bit of that spend is advance payments for drilling.....at least I hope so? DB
