wasa,i agree, I'm sure a J&J would have enough floating around in the top draw to do a deal. A deal tho could be anywhere between $0.5b and $1b over stages so going down to your local institution and requesting approval for $1b might not be that easy. In fact convincing the banks is probably harder than convinving the FDA. I could be way off but its the only logical explanation i can think of??
