Whilst WBT and 4DS have been developing their tech they've kept track pretty well over last 2 years. It's in recent times that the difference between the two has become so vast in valuation terms and I'd attribute that to ease of understanding where they are at in dev milestone sense, industry applications and the process of commercialisation.
4DS has remained under radar due to NDA's and commercialisation route
