Question Hash or Brab--does HGST still have an option to purchase the IP if the JDA is not renewed??
That is is the HGST/WDA option tied in with the JDA???
If it is linked with the JDA then it would appear to be in 4DS's interest to complete the work with IMEC and achieve the fully functional megabit chip prior to June 30 2021 and be in a position as to whether they renew the JDA or be open to all market suitors following June 30 if they let the JDA lapse.
Such a situation may force WDA's hand either to take up the option(thus effectively endorsing the tech) and/or making a bid prior to June30
