The cost component is interesting. A valued poster recently uploaded an old presentation projecting a price of $1 per gig as opposed to (at the time) $12 for DRAM and $2 for NAND. Last I checked the price of DRAM has dropped to $2.5-$3 per gig and NAND is near 20 cents.

I am hopeful that the projected cost has held or improved during development. More recent presentations have emphasised the performance advantages of 4DS relative but have not reaffirmed a price per gig.

JD has said it is no longer in play to try competing with flash on cost but I think getting the product out whilst there is still some daylight between the price of DRAM and 4DS RRAM will be a point of significant leverage in corporate discussions.
