Yes, that isn't that long ago either. I can remember back in the mid 80's when I was studying Finance as part of my MBA, the tutor told us about how he made money on the stock market using credit on his credit card, and how with his winnings he had just purchased an authentic IBM PC with a MASSIVE 10Mb Hard Drive, and it only cost him $10k. Oh how times have changed. Hardware and Information is so cheap these days, but the odds at winning when it comes to trading low cap speculative stocks have fallen substantially. When you do find yourself on a winner it pays to hold on. One other comment, everyone is a Trader! You open your positions with a buy trade and close them with a sell trade. The only difference between what people call Traders and Investors is the way they manage their trades.
p.s. as far as the ATO is concerned I am both a Trader and an Investor. They can't even tell the difference. But what else would you expect from the ATO.
