    I believe you are right. 4DS owns all patents 100% but will offer licensing option to HGST for anything codevelop with HGST. Sounds to me that the base recipe is wholly owned by 4DS and any tweaks to the recipe done with HGST , they can have it for a lower fee.

    thus solves the contradictory prospectus and subsequent announcements re: patent ownership.
