Well if you didn't know better @Denofiniquity1 you might think someone was playing the news flow and subsequent drops as described?

Feb and the shorts spike until mid April (around the time we may have expected the news to arrive based on past timelines)

Then they spike again after a sort period and peaked in May at a bit over 6% till news at end of June..

Bit of interest since but back to zero when viewed with a T4 lag.. They may just be taking a break or could well have realized they were Forked if they hung around much longer perhaps hehe
