I also believe much to David's dislike, that Western Digital is playing 4DS like a fiddle. I believe i have expressed this notion before.

And if my time floating around the C-suite and advising directors at ASX200 cos gives me any weight here, then yes - WD will absolutely be cunningly indicating one set of goal posts only to move those goal posts at a time that suits them.
It is a chess game.
And it looks as though David and the 4DS board has been out skilled, outmaneuvered and out played at every turn. But they may not have had much chance or choice - and will not have much choice without a MB chip that they can take on an industry show and tell.

4DS directors are not in control of 4DS.
Western Digital is in control of 4DS.

This is another reason why Wilbert was hired.
Because he can navigate the Semi industry better than Jim and co.

It may even have been Jims suggestion for himself to step down and bring in Wilbert.
