Key takeaways - they are going for a DRAM replacement, not a memory tech that sits between DRAM and NAND (ie. SCM) That means this is fast and efficient. That's the first communication from the company of this objective. So if successful, there won't be SCM, the won't be DRAM, there will just be persistent RERAM functioning as system memory.

IMEC screwed the pooch with the development work and they were so, so close to pushing the button on commencing the platform lot (which would have failed again) They were blindsided by this as much as we were. But wow, it looks like we dodged a bullet in some ways too - imagine if the 3rd platform lot had failed as well. That would have been carnage of an order of magnitude higher.

My confidence in what is going on is somewhat restored, but bloody hell, they need to work on their communication style.
