D17 was the best / most successful wafer of the 2019 work, that presumably became the basis of the 2020 Platform lots. Who knows what changes since, as there were several variant's in 2020, leading into Jan 2021's better performing results. Based on those we moved to Platform 2, and the train wreck.
Many spat the dummy, threw the toys out of the cot, when the promised chip didn't arrive for Xmas, and the longed awaited sale / corporate transaction.
So the problem was identified, new mask required, being / been redesigned and we are back repeating platform 2, albe it with the short loop test cycle to make sure failure last year has been fixed.
So 2022 will be what 2021 was meant to be.
Still an engineering problem, inventing done patents in the filing cabinet.
