@hashtagyolo Go direct to the source you say? But you haven't gone to the source. Anyone connected to the "source" would have a commercial interest in the success of 4DS and consequently have their lips sealed.
You cannot go direct to the source.
No, you have gone to individuals with "broad industry knowledge". Many of these individuals would have a vested interest in seeing 4DS fail. Others don't have the time or motivation to dig into little 4DS, because the data they would rely on isn't available. Even other senior managers at imec could have developed a bias against 4DS due to the relationships they would have with their own development projects.
There is more than enough information to validate what 4DS is trying to do, and how close they are to doing that. All other Reram companies seem to be focussing on "Superfast storage" due to ECC and endurance limitations. 4DS are looking at "Super-efficient DRAM" while trying to define how significant the endurance limitations may be.
An investment in 4DS is still a speculative punt on the successful manufacture of the megabit chip.
